Throapham Conservation
Throapham is currently being considered for Conservation status. Hopefully, if granted, this will be the stepping stone to protecting our woodland and implementing real structures to prevent damage.

If you have any photographs, historic information, stories etc that we can add to our potted history please send them to peter on:

A new push to help support the woodland!
With spring here and summer on its way its time to think about how we can help support and grow the woodland to regenerate some ares. If you have any skills in this area, ideas or contacts please contact andrew.fyfe@throaphamtoday.co.uk or better still Peter on peter.thornborrow@rotherham.gov.uk
DOG FOUL AND LITTER BINS STILL NOT ARRIVED!!
Rotherham Greenspace is continuing to push for improvements in the Throapham area. Hopefully this year we will see the addition of dog foul waste bins and litter bins so that the amount of unwanted waste and rubbish can be reduced. In an effort to push forward this provision please contact Paul again at the above address. We need to stop such antisocial behaviour. Keep our community safe and clean so that our children can enjoy it!.
Motorcycles issues
The number of motorcycles using Throapham as a thoroughfare has been dramatically reduced since the installation of the new fence line around the woodland. The woodland should now be a safer place for all of us, and a place our children can enjoy. If there is any sign of the issue rising, let Paul Spivey know. Any signs of motorcycles on public land should be reported to the police on their new nuisance bike number: 01709 832444 or Contact Paul Spivey, Rotherham's Offroad Vehicle Prevention Officer on tel: 01709 822039 or email paul.spivey@throaphamtoday.co.uk Again any details of the offenders would be gratefully received by Paul Spivey.

REPORTS OF DINNINGTON ATTACKER
